The Dance Avenue is a Des Moines, Iowa based dance studio offering classes for ages 3 through adult. Our classes are available for all skill levels in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, lyrical, pointe, boys only and more. We are passionate about dance and our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

AMBER MARTIN
Director, Co-Owner
Director, Amber Martin, has over 25 years of experience in the dance industry. With her passion for dance, mentoring youth, and a commitment to excellence, she has dedicated her career to providing top-notch dance education and programs to students of all ages and skill levels. Our studio is a reflection of her dedication and expertise, and we are proud to offer a welcoming and supportive environment where students can thrive.
CHAD MARTIN
Office Manager, Co-Owner
Office Manager, Chad Martin, has over 14 years of experience in the dance industry. He is a man who wears many hats including office and billing manager, prop builder, tumbling instructor and motivational speaker. He shares Amber's passion for coaching and mentoring youth and together they make a great team to lead our studio.

We couldn't be more proud of our staff of accomplished instructors. They make our studio feel like more than a place. To us it's more than just dance. It's a family.
EMPOWERING
YOUTH
The TDA Student Staff and Student Assistants programs have been developed to help mold future leaders. We take pride in empowering youth and giving them the tools and knowledge to help share their love of dance by assisting in dance classes.
TDA Student Staff are 12th grade dancers who have been apart of student staff for at least 3 years. These dancers are offered a paid assistant position.
TDA Student Assistants are 7th-11th grade dancers who have an interest in assisting in dance classes.
Both positions require an application and a dedication to their schedule of classes. Students are expected to find a substitute when needed and treat their assignments just like they would a job.
We are so proud of all of these students for their commitment and sharing the joy of dance with our youngest students.

At TDA we believe that dance lessons are life lessons and we are so proud of our alumni for their various achievements in dance and other paths!
As part of our 10 year celebration in 2020, we invited alumni back to dance in our recital with overwhelming response. After this unforgettable performance, we wanted to feature our graduates as part of our website.
